Stephany Anderson

Stephany Anderson grew up in the great state of South Dakota and she studied Consumer Affairs and Art at South Dakota State University. She spent three years as a campus missionary at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and three years as the Program Director for the Lifelong Mission Team. This year she will finish a two-year course in healing ministry from the Encounter School of Ministry and a two-year Spiritual Director Training through FOCUS.

Samuel Castillo
Alumni Relations Missionary,
FOCUS Alumni
Sam Castillo grew up in Alabama and attended UAB in Birmingham. After receiving his degree in Neuroscience, he began serving as a missionary at the University of Tulsa in 2020. After three years on campus, he returned to the southeast and presently lives in Knoxville, TN with his wife Rachel. Sam now serves as an Alumni Relations Missionary throughout the South area, and he is glad to live out mission through his daily life. In his free time, Sam can typically be found reading, writing, playing music, or going on picnics with his wife.

Tyler Degen
Director of Alumni Formation, FOCUS Alumni
Tyler Degen has served as a missionary with FOCUS for 12 years including five years on campus at multiple universities. Tyler graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is a McGrath Theology Fellow, McGrath Institute for Church Life, University of Notre Dame. He currently resides near Madison, WI with his wife Grace and four children, where he is a proud soccer dad.

James Dunnigan
Director of Alumni Mission,
FOCUS Alumni
James is entering his 11th year with FOCUS. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2010 and then received his master's in education from the University of South Florida in 2012 before joining FOCUS staff. After serving on campus at Auburn University and the University of Florida, he served as a Regional Director in the West and then South areas for six years. The last two years he served as a Senior Manager of Staff Care. He is excited to join the Alumni team as Director of Alumni Mission. He calls Birmingham, Alabama home with his wife (Karly) and daughter (Edith).

Courtney Gladitsch
Alumni Relations Missionary,
FOCUS Alumni
Courtney Gladitsch began her career with FOCUS six years ago as an on-campus missionary at the University of Mary, Mary College at ASU, and Winona State University. She now works with the Alumni team serving alumni in the Midwest. She attended the University of Mary earning a BA in Catholic Studies and Theology. She currently lives in Minnesota with her husband and two children.

Emily Rohleder
Sr. Alumni Relations Missionary, FOCUS Alumni
Emily Rohleder is in her sixth year with FOCUS. After serving four years at Ball State University as a missionary and team director, Emily is now in her second year serving as an Alumni Relations Missionary. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Applied Behavioral Science, Early Autism Intervention. She is excited to call Wichita, KS her home again and to be back in Jayhawk territory.

Chrisy Verdi

FOCUS Alumni
Chrisy Verdi grew up in North Carolina and studied at NC State University. After three years serving as a missionary at Boston University, she decided it was time to move closer to family. That's when she joined the Alumni team and moved back to NC! Chrisy is currently a McGrath Fellow through the McGrath Theology Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame. She is primarily serving our alumni on the East Coast.
